Rain Needs a Foster or Adopter ASAP to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin on Saturday 12/6/25.
Rain is currently in an Arkansas shelter and urgently needs a foster or adopter to reserve her spot on the transport truck to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a home commitment, she won’t be able to make the trip—and this sweet girl has already come far too close to the euthanasia list.
Meet Rain
Rain is a delightful, 1-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix weighing about 35 pounds. She’s a friendly, happy girl who greets the world with a wagging tail and a warm heart. Rain gets along well with other dogs and has a joyful, social personality that makes her easy to love. She still needs to be cat-tested, but she has shown only sweetness and openness with everyone she’s met so far.
Found as a stray, Rain has spent far too much time in the shelter and continues to dodge euthanasia simply because no one has stepped up for her. She’s ready to leave that life behind and blossom in a safe, loving home where she can learn, grow, and finally relax.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.
2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.
3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit.
4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.
**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
