Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rooky – The Booty-Scratch Enthusiast With a Nose for Adventure
2 years old • Neutered Male • Rottweiler Mix
Rooky didn’t exactly walk into the shelter — he burst out like he had somewhere extremely important to be (spoiler: it was the nearest smell). This bouncy, happy guy is a little jumpy with excitement but once he’s out? He’s all smiles, sniffs, and butt-leaning affection. He’s easy to handle, knows sit, and takes treats like a true gentleman. Toys and balls? Hard pass. Rooky would much rather explore the world with his nose and then back himself firmly into you for legendary booty scratches. On leash he can pull a bit — again, those smells are calling — but it’s all enthusiasm, no drama. With other dogs, Rooky is curious and friendly, even when they’re having big reactive feelings at him through the fence. He came in with another dog and seems genuinely interested in making friends. His previous owner had to surrender due to moving and reports that Rooky was housebroken, loves the car, had some training, didn’t try to escape, and was friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs. Basically, he showed up with references — and they’re glowing. If you’re looking for a joyful, sniff-powered, booty-scratch-loving best friend, Rooky is ready to lean into your life… literally.
