My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cali II is an owner surrender looking for a new home.

Hi! My name is Cali II ! I am a beautiful flashy brindle girl that is an owner surrender due to my owner moving and unable to take me with them. I am described as friendly, active, playful, affectionate, and obedient! I am still a puppy with puppy tendencies and learning the ropes of life! I have not had exposure to other dogs and can be reactive when seeing them so having an owner with experience in training me to be socially acceptable would be wonderful! I get excited and jump when meeting new people but I mean no harm and am still learning how to be gentle! If I meet someone new I want to play constantly, lick them, and bring my toys to play fetch! I will calm for a bit but then get my second wind and what to keep playing! There are no kids in my current home but due to my activity and energy level I may do best with older kids. I know some basic verbal commands and hand signals, am crate trained, but will need assistance continuing house training in my forever home. I am learning boundaries and won't touch unwanted things in the house if the humans are around me. I do like to see if snacks are on the counter for me and will counter surf. I like eating like a princess and love eating cooked food and not kibble. At night I sleep with the humans on their bed and love to cuddle! If the humans are away and I am left alone, I do fine in the crate for 4-5 hours. I do best when the humans say a calm goodbye and are calm upon return. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates but I have been known to climb a playpen in the past. I do not like the vacuum cleaners or roombas but I love playing, chewing on bones, zoomies, being involved with what the humans are doing, playing fetch, tug of war, and including the humans in my playtime and games! If you are looking for a young girl to add to your family and are willing to be patient and help me learn how to be the best girl, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
