This helps The Ferndale Cat Shelter with pet care costs.
Pippa’s story began on E. Jefferson near Chalmers in Detroit, where a kind driver spotted her crossing the street with another cat. When the finder pulled over, Pippa came right up—filthy, but immediately friendly and clearly looking for help. After a bath and a vet visit (no microchip), it became clear that Pippa was likely a dumped pet who desperately wants to be indoors with people.
Now safe and waiting for her forever home, Pippa is a loving lap cat who adores attention and snuggles. She’s not very playful, but she’ll happily keep you company and soak up all the affection you can give. Pippa would thrive as your one-and-only or with one or two calm, well-behaved feline friends.
Pippa is FIV+, which simply means she has a weakened immune system. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives indoors with good care and regular vet visits—and they can safely live with other cats as long as everyone gets along.
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will make your home feel warmer, Pippa is your girl!
