Ositio (aka Oso)
Meet Ositio, lovingly called Oso — a 1-year-old, 55-pound Shar Pei mix with a smooshy face, a huge heart, and the kind of soul that refuses to give up.

When Oso arrived, he was surrendered on a chain, carrying an open wound on his leg and a lifetime of neglect. He had been living in a junkyard, surrounded by scraps and silence — forgotten, unseen, and unloved. No one knows how his injury happened, but what we do know is that through it all… Oso never stopped being kind.

Despite everything, Oso is gentle, loving, and endlessly forgiving. He’s good with kids and other dogssubmissive, and greets his dog friends with the sweetest belly-up roll and gentle kisses — as if to say, “I come in peace, I just want love.” He’s the kind of boy who gives love freely, even after a world that gave him so little.

Oso is currently healing beautifully with hydrotherapy and medical care, proving to be a perfect patient — calm, trusting, and full of quiet gratitude. He’s potty trainedkennel trained, and walks nicely on leash. He enjoys lounging in the sunshinesoaking up belly rubs, and cuddling close to those who make him feel safe.

Though he’s low energy, Oso still loves gentle play with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another friendly dog or two to keep him company. After living chained and forgotten, this big, cuddly teddy bear deserves to finally know the warmth of a soft bed, the safety of a loving home, and the joy of being part of a family that will never give up on him.

Oso deserves to only know the good life from here on out — full of love, comfort, and kindness. He’s ready to trade his past of pain for a future filled with belly rubs, soft blankets, and forever love.
