Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pablo is a 40-lb Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as his energy level. At 7 years old, Pablo is every bit the joyful, energetic companion his breed is known to be. Abandoned by his previous owner, Pablo is searching for a home where people truly value the human–dog connection. He wants to be included in daily life, and adventuring outside, learning new tricks, or simply being near his people is a must.
In the shelter, Pablo has shown some understandable anxiety, and he may bark when left alone. Pablo is probably not suited to apartments/condos with shared walls. With structure, patience, and engagement, he will absolutely shine. Pablo is incredibly smart, super food-motivated, and enjoys meeting new people. Pablo may also appreciate having a compatible dog friend. They would have to meet first.
Because he’s an enthusiastic, busy boy with no history of living with kids,, any children in the home should be older. We strongly encourage adopters to research Australian Shepherds—Pablo will thrive with a home that understands his breed’s need for exercise, mental stimulation, and close companionship.
If you’re looking for a bright, loyal, playful partner who wants to share life’s adventures, Pablo may be your perfect match.
If you are interested in adopting Pablo, please bring your family members and other dogs to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm to meet him. If you are unable to come to the shelter during those hours, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available.
