My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ive had Harper for about a year. When I got her, she was pretty much terrified of everything. It took me several weeks to get her comfortable at all in the house, and to do that, I had to tie her leash around my waist during the day and have her walk around everywhere w/ me.

That worked pretty well, at least to the point where there were certain "safe" places within the house, including her bed in my bedroom, her bed in the kitchen, & the living room. Shes gotten more comfortable in the house over time, except for doorways, which for some reason have always made her nervous lol. Also, she;s always been very happy outside in the yard & on walks.

I;d love to keep her myself, except I feel she really needs a more active home, preferably with another, younger dog to play with. My other dog is 12, & while they get along fine, she really doesn;t play much at all. I just don;t think my home is the right one for Harper - she;s desperate to play when she;s outside, & she needs a buddy!
