My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Corn Dog, or Corny as we lovingly call him - is yet another sweetheart who found himself wandering the streets alone as a stray before coming to us. Those days are behind him now, and he’s more than ready to trade uncertainty for the comfort of a home and a person to call his own.

Corny is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs around 30 pounds. He’s a bit of a chunky monkey, but he has been SUCH a good sport about his new diet and exercise routine. He’s already making progress, and he’ll need an adopter who can help him continue his fitness journey so he can enjoy many healthy, happy years ahead.

Personality-wise, Corn Dog is as gentle as they come. He’s a shy, mellow guy who prefers the softer side of life: calm environments, kind people, cozy blankets, and slow-and-steady companionship. He doesn't need a bustling home or high-energy adventures. Instead, he’s happiest being near his person, soaking up affection, and quietly taking in the world at his own pace.

Corny is friendly with everyone he meets. He does well with other dogs and gets along with people easily, though he tends to observe first and warm up with quiet confidence. Light play? Sure! A casual stroll? Absolutely. But his true passion is cuddling up next to you and settling in for a movie night. If you're looking for a soft, snuggly buddy for your next Netflix marathon, this is your guy. His sweet face and big, hopeful eyes make him impossible to resist.

He deserves a home where he can feel safe, supported, and adored. Someone who understands senior-leaning pups, who appreciates a gentle soul, and who wants a loving companion always happy to curl up by their side. Corn Dog is pure sweetness through and through, and he will love you with his whole heart. He's ready to start fresh, could he be your perfect match? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
