This bright-eyed boy came to us after being found all on his own as a stray. Whatever he experienced in his past, it hasn’t dimmed his joyful spirit one bit! Haymitch is a lively, playful little guy, estimated to be about 3 years old and weighing 20 pounds, and he is ready to bring energy and happiness to the right home.
Haymitch is endlessly curious about the world - he loves sniffing out new sights and smells on walks, meeting new people, and playing with other dogs. He’s also a clever little pup and already knows a few tricks like sit and give paw. With a bit of one-on-one training and encouragement, he could easily learn even more!
This boy has a soft spot for treats and belly rubs...in fact, his golden amber eyes are practically impossible to resist. One look from him, and you’ll find yourself giving him a little extra love (and maybe an extra treat or two) because he’s just that sweet.
Haymitch would thrive in a home with an active owner who can give him plenty of exercise, attention, and opportunities to learn new things. He’s a smart, spirited, and affectionate little guy who just wants to explore the world and share it with someone who will adore him.
If you’re looking for a clever, curious, and loving friend who will keep your heart smiling and your days full of fun, Haymitch might be your perfect match. Interested in this little sweetheart? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
