Misty’s beauty is clearly inarguable. C’mon, just LOOK at that face! However, this 5-year old, 60-pound Labrador Retriever mix isn’t just another pretty pup. Misty possesses an extraordinary personality, she’s extremely smart, and she is an absolute love bug. She’s really got it all.
Housebroken and quite fond of the outdoors, Misty walks like a champ on a leash and does all her bathroom business outside. She understands the commands come sit, go potty, paw, down, stay, get your toy, and drop it. She’s terrific in a car, she’s not at all barky, and sleeps peacefully through the night. Her appetite is robust and she enjoys all treats, which she takes very gently from your hand.
Misty gets along well with all forms of life, from kids to adults, and from dogs to cats. She likes playing with other dogs, but if she observes two dogs horsing around with each other, she might just relax on the sidelines and watch them have their fun. Never intrusive, she assesses the vibe first. With cats, she simply wags her tail and lets them be. Misty doesn’t necessarily need to be the center of attention, but she is happiest when in the company of others. And she is particularly drawn to children.
A big fan of toys, Misty knows how to fetch a ball, bring it back, and drop it when you ask her to do so. She is a lively and active girl, but she can also go into couch potato mode just as easily. One of Misty’s favorite things to do is to sit next to you on the couch and luxuriate in a petting session and/or have her belly rubbed. She is highly affectionate, but not in a space invader sort of way. This girl just gets it!
Misty is a kind-hearted, fearless, even-keeled dog who exhibits confidence, attentiveness, and a strong desire to bond, to learn, to love, and be loved in return. An undeniable gem, Misty would fit into any type of household and would be a dream come true for anyone looking to add a new furry family member to their lives.
