Meet Green Bean! A Sweet Puppy Ready for His Forever Home ??

This handsome, six-month-old mixed breed boy wandered in around Thanksgiving, and we`ve been counting our blessings ever since! Green Bean is a people-loving pup who has quickly charmed everyone he meets. He was absolutely thrilled to experience his very first snowfall here at the shelter and loved bouncing around in the white fluff!

He especially adores our dog walking volunteers that take him on the best walks and adventures. He has plenty of puppy kisses to go around. Being a young pup, he`s eager to learn and will thrive with a dedicated family who can provide consistent training and structure as he grows.

Since Green Bean came to us as a stray, we don`t have a history of how he interacts with children, cats, or other dogs. We recommend slow, supervised introductions in his new home.

Green Bean is neutered and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
