Hi everyone! My name is Cactus! My siblings and I are here at the Adoption Center looking for our forever homes just in time for the holidays! We are full of spunk and love to play. When we aren’t chasing each other around or pouncing on our toys, we can usually be found cuddled into a cute little kitten pile! I’m sure once we’ve found our forever homes we’ll have so much fun exploring and playing with our new families and occasionally finding a sunny spot to nap! More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
