Junior joined the rescue at the end of August and after completing heartworm treatment, getting neutered and having a much needed dental this guy is now ready for adoption! This is what his foster mom has to say about him! “Junior has the funniest little personality. He’s very laid back, but he’s recently started doing zoomies around the yard, which has been so fun to watch. He’s fairly independent, though he’s begun snuggling with us more and more. He loves food and is extremely treat-motivated! Junior does great with other dogs, but he’s still learning how to play. After spending six years just trying to survive on the streets, “playing” is a brand-new experience for him, so he can be a little awkward. He’s potty trained, non-destructive, and does well without being kenneled.” Junior is a 6 year old, 16.6 lb Chihuahua/Min Pin mix (our best guess!). If you are interested in adopting Junior, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org
*Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours.
*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck
*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):
Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
