Meet Ziti: a true “Golden Boy” – and we’re not just referring to his glorious coat. He currently resides in a foster home with one of our long-time fosters and she thinks he is one of the easiest, most well-rounded puppies she’s had. He lives with three small dogs that have a wide range of personalities, and a 2-year-old boy. He can get a little mouthy when playing (like any puppy), but he’s patient with the toddler, and adapts well to whatever pup he’s interacting with.
Ziti, fittingly named after the pasta noddle he’s shaped like, is looking for an active family who can help him get his puppy energy out regularly. He loves tug or war the most and he’s currently working on learning to fetch. After a little play time, Ziti is happy to curl up on the couch with you for a nap. While he LOVES to be around his people, he is also content taking a break in his crate. Ziti is about as potty trained as can be at his age. As long as his foster mom watches out for his cues, and take him out on a regular schedule, he doesn’t have any accidents! At night time, he sleeps quietly in his crate for 8 hours and only requests to get out once he sees his people are up. Due to his age, Ziti will need a family where he’s not left home alone for more than 4 hours at a time. He’ll also need help learning what he is and isn’t allowed to chew on. Right now, he gets it right most of the time and easily gives it up when he has
something he shouldn’t.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
