My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mars is a handsome young tabby with a heart as warm as his striking good looks. He's a playful adventurer who loves wrestling and romping around with his littermates, turning every day into a fun-filled mission. Though he may seem a bit shy when you first meet him, give him a little time and he'll come right down to earth-revealing the affectionate, loving boy he truly is.

Once Mars feels comfortable, he transforms into a total sweetheart who enjoys cuddles and quiet bonding moments. If you're looking for a gentle, playful companion who will reward your patience with deep affection, Mars is ready to orbit right into your heart.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
