Xander is a calm, well-mannered dog who handles new situations with ease. He walks nicely on the leash and did his business as soon as we went outside, which suggests he has house training experience. He wagged his tail through our whole walk and rested his head in my lap when we took a break. Xander acts like a dog who knows what it means to have a home and people of his own. At an adoption event, he stayed relaxed even when other dogs were pushy or when children pulled on his tail. Dogs like Xander are rare. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky to bring home a companion this steady and gentle.
