What we know: owner surrender within the state of Colorado, suspected to be a golden retriever but we have no documentation of breeder info or papers. The family who surrendered, "got him from a friend."
From the foster: Beau is about 7-8 months old, just got neutered, and has little evidence of training. While his breed guess will likely make him a popular choice, Beau is about 60-65lbs with no sense of his size or strength, jumps up to greet, isn't fully potty-trained, and doesn't know what is expected of him behavior-wise indoors. In order to set-up Beau for success, we're looking for a family without kids under 10 years old and who have experience in boundary-setting and training so that Beau can learn to be balanced and happy while fully understanding rules and expectations for indoor time vs playtime.

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
