My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Floof is a heartworm positive pup. His treatment has been started, but he still has a couple of months to go before he will be medically cleared. We would like for him to complete that treatment in a home. Even better is if he can go straight to his future adoptive home. If you would like to open your heart and home to this wonderful gentleman, please complete a foster application. We will continue to provide all of her medical care, food and supplies; you just provide the loving home, as well as the rides to the 2 or 3 vet appointments in Muscatine.

Heartworm is treatable and we expect a full recovery. Treatment is not complicated. Our foster coordinator will be with you every step of the way to answer questions and guide you through the process.

Go meet their pets

Many of our adoptable pets are placed in loving foster homes. You are welcome to stop by our shelter during business hours, but please be advised, that many of our available pets will not be in the building. By submitting an application first, you give our adoption coordinator a chance to inform you of the pets location, saving an unnecessary trip.
