If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I have had Bailey since she was a young puppy (puppy photo is #3). I bought her thinking she was a Dalmatian, but her DNA panel from her puppy package came back saying otherwise (picture #4). She has been in my household for nearly five years. She would do well on her own, but she gets aggressive/territorial with other dogs and has gotten so bad at one point that another dog required stitches over his eye where she bit him.
She will also come up behind you in the yard, when you’re walking, and nip at the back of your arms. I believe this is a herding trait. She had done this to me numerous times. Regardless to say, it doesn’t feel good. She may not do this if she’s the only dog in the home.
She needs an experienced dog owner, and to be alone. I believe a lot of her behavior issues would be mitigated if she’s alone and can be the sole dog to focus on. She will lay calmly on the couch, sleeps in a kennel, is house trained, and is definitely an alert dog.
