Despite her shyness, Remi`s curiosity makes her an excellent companion for adventures. She`s leash trained and calm, making her a joy on walks. If she runs off while off leash, she`ll come back if you call her. She knows the sit, shake and lay down commands. She weighs 32 pounds and enjoys car rides, running, toys, and water. However, she can be a bit jumpy and tends to chew, so she`ll need a patient owner who can guide her. She`ll need help with house training too. She`s affectionate yet sometimes distrustful, requiring a gentle approach to build trust. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
