My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At 15 years young, this gentle senior is the definition of calm and cozy, spending his days napping, cuddling, and quietly coexisting with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves attention but never demands it, enjoys sleeping in bed at night, and melts right into your arms when held. Boris has chronic kidney disease and chronic dry eye, so he’ll need a caring adopter who can keep up with his routine wet-food diet, simple daily care which includes eye medication, and regular vet check-ins — but he’s incredibly easygoing through it all. He does need a little help going outside for potty breaks, as he doesn’t always initiate on his own. If you’re looking for a peaceful, loving companion to share slow mornings and soft, cozy evenings, Boris will fill your home with gentle, senior sweetness.

Additional adoption info

Our website, IndyHumane.org, is updated daily with pets who are available for adoption. Please visit IndyHumane.org for more information and to check the status of a particular pet.
Each adoptable cat and dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption counselors are happy to share their behavioral and medical background with you during the application process!
We are a non-profit shelter with limited staff. Answers to common questions can be found at IndyHumane.org!

Go meet their pets

You can find up-to-date information on all of our available pets by visiting IndyHumane.org/Cats or IndyHumane.org/Dogs. Adopt-a-Pet is a third party site and not a source of reliable, updated information.

Our website is updated throughout each day, so if you see a pet on there that you are interested in, as long as their photo is on the website it means they are still available. Each profile will have a link for their online application. Please fill out an application for the pet you'd like to meet and a member of our team will contact you within 24-48 hours for more info and to schedule an intro. Thanks!
