My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocky: A Handsome, Big Boy Ready for the Right Adventure!

Say hello to Rocky, a magnificent 5-year-old male mixed breed weighing in at a solid 75 lbs. This striking, intelligent boy is still searching for the right home to call his own.

Rocky was originally surrendered due to financial strain in his previous home. He was later adopted but recently returned when his adopters were unable to meet his needs. Rocky is a wonderful dog, but like many Huskies, he requires structure, activity, and engagement to truly thrive.

Rocky needs a home rather than an apartment, as he has not been successful in an apartment setting with a previous adopter. He will thrive with an active adopter who understands the needs of a large, intelligent working breed. Having previously lived outdoors with another canine companion, Rocky will benefit from a patient and consistent family who can help him transition comfortably to life indoors.

Rocky has been reported to be friendly with children based on information from a previous owner. We don`t have information on how he interacts with other dogs or cats, as he has not interacted with them before. Introductions should be taken slowly.

Rocky is neutered and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

Rocky is a loyal, loving dog who needs the right environment to shine. If you have experience with active breeds and are ready to give Rocky the exercise, structure, and understanding he needs, he could be an incredible companion.
