Hello there, I’m Sammy — a handsome black and tan Chow/Retriever mix, just about a year old and full of quiet charm. I even have adorable black spots on my tongue, which I hear make me quite the conversation starter. 😌🐾
I’m a very polite young gentleman who already knows how to sit, walk beautifully on a leash, and keep a tidy home — I’m fully housebroken and crate trained. I’m gentle with older kids and the elderly, and I always try to make people feel comfortable around me.
When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit selective. I have an alpha personality, so if there is another dog in the household, it would preferably be a submissive female. I was picked on before I arrived at the shelter, so I appreciate slow, proper introductions to make sure I feel safe. I haven’t met any young children or cats yet, so that’s still a mystery. 🐕🦺✨
One of my favorite things in the world is going for a car ride — windows down, ears flapping, the whole experience. And if you like taking photos, well… I do consider myself rather photogenic. 📸💁♂️

If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees: -$60 for cats -$60 for dogs over 6 years -$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years -$100 for puppies up to 6 months
