My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

[DogName] is a COURTESY LISTING available for adoption -- for more information, please contact the owner listed below. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA. Meet Nykee a high-energy, spunky boy just under a year old and still very much all puppy. Nykee is smart, eager to please, and extremely treat-motivated. Hes already picking up on training quickly, but hes the kind of dog who thrives when he has both mental stimulation and consistent physical exercise. He does well with other dogs, but his excitement and puppy energy can be a lot for calmer pets. A single-dog home may be the easiest place for him to settle in while he continues learning and maturing. Nykee loves toys, enjoys getting out for walks, and is always up for affection. The one thing hes still unsure about is the car but at his age, thats something he can learn with patience and positive experiences. Hes neutered, healthy, and ready to start becoming the great dog hes meant to be. Go meet their pets

Once approved, we encourage applicants to visit adoption events to meet potential dogs that could be a match.
Before you fill out the application:
1). We do not adopt to individuals living outside of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.
2). If the only dog you are interested in has a (CL) after their name, this is a courtesy listing and we do not handle the adoptions of courtesy listings, please contact the person directly.

More about this rescue

Thank you for considering adopting a GSRA dog. We love that you are exploring rescuing a GSD. We firmly believe that the adoption of a dog is not one to be taken lightly. Because of this belief, our adoption process is what some would described as lengthy and can be emotional. If you are looking to take a dog home "tomorrow", unfortunately our organization is not for you.
