My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAVED, and saved, and saved AGAIN If you've not been keeping up, check out Miss Lucy's story hereand here. We'll wait... There's the moment that dogs come into rescue, when they are literally saved from certain death (so dramatic, but true).THEN, there are the unfolding moment (s) when, thanks to the love and care of amazing fosters, a dog starts to understand they are saved and can begin to become themselves. So, our little Lucy is a THAT girl. She FINALLY knows that she is saved and is now a dog, a 180 from the girl we thought she was.YES, she had a rocky start AND, now, she is a confident, fun, whack-a-do lil' frenchie girl ready for her best life!Listen, Lucy will always have some noisy bulldog breathing (and should have a bulldog-savvy family). She will truly never, ever be a go-everywhere, brewery-and-chill girl. And she IS, still, much more of an a/c-and-spa-treatment vibe kinda girl. BUT, within her safe, happy home, we know that Lucy NEEDS at least one more friendly, playful, lovely dog to call her own (she would not say no to TWO sweet doggos who LOVE friends) and she is ready for fun She is sweet, sassy, and easy, and we are so, so grateful to have saved her Lucy is ready for HER home for the holidays, apply NOW     To see more of our dogs, please go to https://austinbulldogrescue.com to see who is available and to learn how to get involved with ABR.

Additional adoption info

Austin Bulldog Rescue is 100% foster-based, and does not have a shelter or facility where applicants can come meet dogs before applying. Meet and greets with a potential match will happen after an adoption application is approved. ABR is a matching rescue -- while our teams take dog preference into account, we ultimately match families to the dog best suited for their home and lifestyle. The more thoroughly you answer the interview questions, the better the matching experience on all sides!
