Meet Cornbread – 2-Year-Old Terrier Mix

Cornbread was pulled from the horrible dungeons of a Louisiana shelter, and he’s been making up for lost time ever since. This sweet boy has a personality you can’t help but fall in love with. He wants to trust so badly, and once he realizes he’s safe… the tail wags, happy wiggles, and “pet me!” nudges never stop.  Cornbread is wonderful with other dogs and loves to play. He thinks the resident cat is a little too big and scary, so he chooses to admire cats from a respectful distance. He’s also a big fan of toys, comfy dog beds, and couch naps. Cornbread recently discovered treats and is officially a treat junky—he’ll politely “talk back” when you chat with him, which is absolutely adorable.  He’s been great with my 15-year-old son, and while I don’t have small children, I imagine he’d be just fine with respectful kids. He’s doing great with potty training but will need consistency and frequent breaks as he continues learning the routine.
