Meet Amelia Rose, a ten-month-old German Shepherd mix with the softest heart and the sweetest spirit. At just 32 pounds, she is gentle, dainty, and full of quiet hope for a better tomorrow.

Amelia Rose’s story began in a lonely backyard where she lived with twelve other dogs after her owner became ill and could no longer care for them. She spent her early life outdoors, without the love or guidance every young dog deserves. Despite that, she has remained kind, gentle, and open to learning what love really means.

She is not mean or fearful, just a girl who was never shown kindness until now. Since arriving at the shelter, Amelia Rose has started to trust people, make friends, and even show off her silly side with zoomies and soft tail wags. She is especially fond of other dogs and truly blossoms with canine companions, finding comfort and confidence by their side. She would do best in a home with another friendly dog to continue showing her that the world is a safe and loving place.

Amelia Rose is food motivated, adores Cheese Whiz, and believes that snacks and dog friends are the way to her heart. She is learning to walk on leash, enjoys gentle pets, and has quickly become a staff favorite with her sweet, flopped ears and tender smile.

After growing up outdoors, she dreams of simple things: a cozy bed, a warm blanket, and a soft place to rest her head each night. She deserves one chance, one home, and one person to show her the good life for once and for all.

Amelia Rose is ready to shine. With a gentle hand, patience, and love, she will blossom into a loyal and devoted companion who will never stop being grateful for the life she finally gets to live.
