My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Otto!

The Fearless Snuggle Bug! Looking for a cat who’s equal parts playful adventurer and professional cuddler? Meet Otto! This handsome guy has a big heart, a fearless spirit, and a serious talent for making his people smile. Otto is always up for fun — chasing his plastic springs, pouncing on anything that moves, chasing bubbles, or teaming up with his brother for a round of zoomies. When playtime’s over, he’s all about curling up with his humans for TV time or bedtime snuggles.

He’s also dog-approved!

Otto adores his canine buddy and greets him with happy tail rubs and cozy cuddles. When he’s not busy stealing popcorn (yes, really) or chirping to tell you about his day, you’ll find him birdwatching from the window or chasing down any unsuspecting bug intruders. Fearless, affectionate, and full of personality — Otto truly wears his heart on his sleeve. If you’re ready for a loving, playful companion who’ll keep you laughing and your heart full, Otto’s your guy!

More about this rescue

Keitha’s Kittie Rescue was created on August 10, 2017. and became a non-profit, 501(c)(3) on December 27, 2017. We just recently taken another rescue under our wing, Calapooia Critters Rescue and Transport.

The other shelters in the area often require owners to pay a fee to abandon their animal, or overcrowded and not able to take the animal, have the owner make an appointment to assess the animal or there is no local shelter in the community, and sometimes the animals a stray and takes time to adjust before being adopted or they need medical care. Keitha’s Kittie Rescue is all volunteer, foster based shelter.

Volunteers care for the cats and kittens in their homes. Adoption events are also held at Petsmart in Corvallis, Oregon. All money goes for the cats litter, food and medical care.

Our mission is to create a safe environment and find a future home for the unwanted, unloved, forgotten cats that no other rescue will take. We get a lot of injured, ill, and abused cats. Our veterinarian bills are quite high but we do what we can to raise funds and keep our animals in the best health. We NEVER euthanize unless it is extremely necessary. We have a few hospice foster homes where an animal can live out the rest of its days in love and comfort. It is our calling, our focus, and our main drive in life.
