MY RESCUE STORY
I was at Masan Shelter, facing euthanasia, scared and unsure of humans. The rescue team approached me slowly, giving me gentle words and treats. After some time, I felt safe and was taken to a foster home. Over the weeks, I learned to trust and feel loved. Eventually, I found my forever family, where I can run, play, and be happy every day. Thanks to the rescue, I got a second chance at life.

MY PERSONALITY
Hi! My name is Monte, and I’m a sweet, pure-hearted boy who’s still learning about the world. I may get a little confused in new environments, but I’m gentle, kind, and always trying my best.
I usually get along well with other dogs, but… I have to confess!
When treats are involved, I once had a tiny squabble with my friend Daon because I just love snacks that much.
I’m the type of dog who benefits from being exposed to different places and experiences. I walk very well on quiet streets, and when I go somewhere new or meet unfamiliar people, I tend to stay close to someone I know. But once I feel comfortable, I relax quickly and start playing happily.
I can go potty both indoors and outdoors, and overall, I’m a cute, lovable boy who just needs a little guidance, patience, and love.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I am affectionate and social though I may be a little shy at first, I quickly warm up with treats, approach both familiar people and strangers, enjoy being petted, and can even be safely lifted by putting your arms under me.
· With Dogs: I am friendly and social with other dogs. I approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet them and sometimes invite play. With dogs I don’t know well, I usually greet them but don’t play together. I tend to feel overwhelmed by very high-energy dogs and prefer to avoid conflict if another dog is being provocative.
· With Cats: No reactions to cats have been observed.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I enjoy outdoor activities with a moderate energy level, but I usually rest calmly afterward. I walk well in quiet areas, but I get scared on busy streets.
TRAINING & HABITS
I do not guard food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I sometimes bark to ask for things I want, such as more food. I am currently undergoing kennel training and behave calmly during car rides. I can use both indoor pads and go potty outside.
MY IDEAL HOME
My ideal home would be a calm and patient environment with a family who can give me gentle guidance as I continue learning. A quieter neighborhood would suit me well because I can get overwhelmed in busy areas. I would do best with people who can help me with leash training, kennel training, and keep me on a healthy diet. A family that enjoys relaxed walks, provides consistent routines, and understands rescue dogs would be perfect for me.
SPECIAL NOTES
I am a cute and gentle boy who needs some kennel training, leash training, and a little dieting. I can get a bit overwhelmed in unfamiliar environments, but I have very minimal marking behavior. I am considered a Level 2 rescue dog means that I may need some guidance, patience, and training support as I adjust to a new home.
