My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Basil has been with us for 47 days and hasn't had a single application...or phone call...or meet.

We get it. She's a big lady. She's almost 80lbs which is a whole lot of dog, coupled in with the fact that she's very much still a puppy at just about a year old and she has all of that bouncy, goofy puppy energy and endless enthusiasm for everything? It's a lot to ask of anyone. We get it. We do.

But this sweet girl is so, so worth it.

Do you want a best friend? Check. Do you want a personal trainer AND a cheerleader? Double check. Do you want someone to look at you like you hung the moon and all of the stars in the sky JUST for them? CHECK. Trust us, no one will ever love you as much as Basil will love you and no one will ever be happier to see you than she will be. She's a certified silly goose, a hammy ham for attention, a true goofy goober, and will be an endless source of entertainment.

Did we mention she's also a snugglebug when it's naptime?

Basil is smart, eager to please, eager to LEARN, and has a natural zest for life that we could all learn from. She's an active, sporty girl that would love to join you on hikes or beach trips. She does best with submissive male dogs because she's a bit of a dominant diva and she seems to be afraid of cats. We would prefer kids 12+ but may make exceptions for the right family that has experience.

She is a boxer/American bulldog mix so, since she's a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member.
