If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bitsy was originally turned in to ACC (Animal Care Centers)of NYC as a Rescue.
We (my wife and I) adopted her back in April of 2025, and she cozied in just fine. We discovered that she was a very energetic and excitable goofball.
She definitely needs lots of toys and positive stimulation to stay engaged and behaved, which became a little difficult for us after welcoming a newborn into the family.
She loves tummy scratches and neck rubs. She is very playful and will chase and bat at anything attached to a string.
She is also very athletic, so lots of space to run and jump would be ideal, but not necessarily required.
We are trying to avoid putting her back into the shelter system, so we are hoping a happy new home is found for her.
She is spayed, up-to-date on all shots, and chipped.
Thanks for your consideration.
