Pecan Pie is a darling 9 week old female Chihuahua Mix who is as sweet and warm as her name suggests. Rescued out of a hoarding situation, she’s finally getting to enjoy the comfort, safety, and affection every puppy deserves, and she’s blossoming beautifully. Full of playful puppy energy, she loves exploring her surroundings, zooming around with joy, and proudly carrying around her favorite squeaky toys. She’s a social little girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats, making her a great fit for a wide range of families. With her gentle spirit, bright eyes, and loving personality, Pecan Pie is ready to bring happiness, companionship, and endless puppy snuggles to her forever home.
We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Starts with an application, there must be a meet and greet with all family members including pets, if approved a home check is done. Once approved a contract is completed and then the adoption donation; All of our dogs/puppies are spayed and/or neutered, micro chipped, current on all vaccines and rabies, de-flea, de-worm. With all of that included there is an adoption donation in the amount of $595. Our adoption donation includes all the medical mentioned above.

M-F at The Lovejoy Foundation we are training, grooming, boarding, and doing daycare for our clients as well as our rescues, so unfortunately the only opportunity's to see our rescues is during our weekend adoption events. Director and Founder, Erin Lovejoy has been an animal advocate since she was a child. With a Sales and Marketing background, she was familiar with the techniques that would help launch her vision of The Lovejoy Foundation. The vision was a peaceful outside setting, for a dog and puppy sanctuary; a place for the public to come and play and adopt the puppies and dogs. Erin stands strong behind her belief that through educating the youth, the awareness will impact the future dramatically with the neglected, abandoned and abused animals on the streets and in the shelters. Her goal is no dog is left without a purpose, or without a job, or without a home.
Since April of 2010, Erin has been building her vision, she has rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed more than 8000 dogs to date. Erin strives towards her vision every day, pushing through the trenches of rescue holding adoptions every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. She has spent countless hours and resources lending a helping hand to the many owner surrenders, stray dogs, and injured animals, giving them all the support they need. With the incredible dedication of her family, standing by her side day in and day out, keeping with the same passion, Erin, her family, and The Lovejoy Foundation have reduced the intakes in the local shelters dramatically.
Erin's motto is "Touching lives one animal at a time" Hopefully, it will not be long before her vision will unfold to what she has been living and creating every day.
