Meet Sophie, a brown tabby and white sweetheart with the softest fur, gentle eyes, and a heart that just wants to feel safe.
Sophie is a naturally sweet, friendly, and affectionate kitten—but the busy shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for her. She’s the kind of baby who blossoms in calm energy, soft voices, and slow moments. When she feels secure, she leans right in for pets, purrs quietly, and shows you just how loving she really is.
Sophie would thrive in a peaceful, low-stress home where she can settle in at her own pace and let her true personality shine. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will reward your patience with endless love, Sophie is ready to be your little shadow.
Give this precious girl the quiet haven she deserves—and she’ll fill it with warmth.

Adopt a Cat Foundation, is a non-profit organization, committed to finding more loving and humane care options for the many homeless, injured and hungry cats and kittens that populate our county. Founded by 18-year recue veteran Inga Hanley, the foundation operates solely through donations,(which are tax deductible) and the assistance of small but dedicated volunteer force---which is always in need of more helping hands.
We provide the following services for the cats and kittens we rescue.
Humanely trap, spay/neuter and medicate as needed.
Provide temporary housing and care in one of two ways: in the shelter, or in one of our foster homes.
Evaluate their behavior and adoptability, adopt out the socialized ones to loving and hopefully permanent homes. Release the feral ones back to there committed colony caregiver who feeds them daily and monitors their welfare.
We also provide community service in other ways. Education on spay-neuter
programs to the public, schools and other non profit groups.
Education on care and handling of feline pets.
Participation in youth and school programs that offer credit for volunteer activities.
We do all this and more because we love them.
