Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ringo. At 5 years old, this stunning domestic long-hair has already been through a lifetime of ups and downs.
In early December, Ringo and his lifelong companion, Hawkeye, were brought to a vet to be euthanized. Their owners believed Hawkeye was "misbehaving" as he was peeing outside of his litterbox and didn't want Ringo to live through the depression of losing his best friend. Thankfully, the vet saw two lives worth saving and called us. We immediately said YES and they moved into foster together.
We unfortunately learned the truth behind Hawkeye’s "behavior"—he wasn't being difficult; he was very sick. He two weeks with out vet partners, where we discovered Hawkeye was actually a senior (10–15 years old) and in renal failure. Sadly, Hawkeye passed away in his sleep on 01/18/2026. 🌈
Now, Ringo is facing the very thing his original owners feared: he is alone for the first time and he is definitely feeling it. He has been vocal, almost like he is calling out for his best friend. The foster says its very heart breaking.
Ringo has been a brave boy through this all, and, luckily for him, our vets have given him a clean bill of health with perfect bloodwork. While he is mourning the loss of his best friend, he is proving to be the resilient, sweet soul we knew he was.
Personality: Mellow, calm, and easygoing.
Temperament: He’s a bit shy at first, but your patience is rewarded with deep affection once he warms up.
Ringo thrives with feline company. He desperately deserves a home with another kitty companion to bond with. While he may need a slow introduction, we know another friend is what will truly make his heart whole again. He ia currently the only kitty in his foster home.
Ringo prefers his paws on solid ground! He isn't a fan of the car and will let you know it in his carrier, but he’s a perfect gentleman once he's settled in a home.
Ringo has been through so much uncertainty. He deserves a "forever" that actually means forever—a place where he is cherished and never has to worry about being left behind again.
Ready to open your heart to Ringo? Help us find this beautiful boy the partner-in-crime he deserves by applying to adopt him today.

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
