My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Squinty Quincy! He arrived at CHS in early December 2025, prancing in like the tiny gentleman he is. he was born with microphthalmia, Quincy can’t see out of his right eye, but he absolutely can see a good opportunity for snuggles. This handsome older kitten is full of personality, warmth, and affection. With his adorable wink and his big heart, Quincy is sure to bring joy, laughter, and lots of cozy moments to his future family. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You are welcome to visit the animals in residence with us on a walk-in basis Tuesday through Saturday 12AM to 4PM. Sunday meetings are by appointment only. We are closed on Mondays. Please feel free to call or email for an appointment to meet our adoptable pets.

We pride ourselves on offering one-on-one private adoption counseling. Once you have completed your adoption application (online) an adoption counselor will contact you for a private interview.

Our adoption fees and requirements vary based on each individual animal's needs. We work hand-in-hand with our adoption clients and hand-in-paw with our pets to make the best adoption matches.

In spite of our efforts, we understand that sometimes relationships fail. If at any time an adopter needs assistance with their new family member or finds it necessary to return their companion animal, we will respectfully work with that client to determine the best outcome for the animal.
