Meet Glitter and Confetti, two young dilute tortie dynamos, who are as dazzling as their names suggest! These sisters are a perfect blend of affectionate snuggle-bugs and high-powered acrobats. Picture them curled up together in a purring, cozy heap on the bed… then, minutes later, zooming through the house in a joyful blur of paws, pounces, and play-fights. Their bond is deep, their antics are legendary, and their love for their humans is absolutely unwavering.
Though they adore each other wholeheartedly, Glitter and Confetti have made one thing abundantly clear: they want to be the reigning queens of their kingdom. No dogs, no other cats—just them, their favorite humans, and maybe a well-stocked buffet. (Food might be their *greatest* love, but human affection is a very, very close second.)
These girls are athletes. They leap farther than a snow leopard and spring higher than a gazelle—at least, that’s what it looks like. They’re playful, social, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. After a day of impressive circus-level stunts, they’ll happily flop into your lap, ready for snuggles and kisses.
If you’re searching for a pair of energetic, loving, hilariously fun companions who will fill your home with excitement, joy, and constant affection, Glitter and Confetti are your dream team. Whoever adopts these two extraordinary girls is in for a life overflowing with laughs, love, and sparkling tortie magic.

1) The first step to meet the cats at Animal House is to email us at AHcatadoption@gmail.com. Be sure to include your full name, age, address, and phone number. We will respond as soon as possible to answer your questions and schedule an appointment to visit our shelter. If you have already submitted an inquiry through Adopt-a-Pet or Petfinder about a particular cat, there is no need to send a separate email.
2) During your appointment, you will complete a questionnaire and work with an adoption coordinator to find the cat that is right for you. This process may involve meeting with numerous cats, or even making more than one visit to Animal House. You and your new cat will live together for a lifetime, so this step is important.
3) Before adoption, we ensure that your cat has been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
4) When your adoption is finalized, the adoption paperwork is completed and a $130 adoption fee for adult cats and $150 for kittens is collected.
We are located at:

More about this shelter
Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center is a private, non-profit, “no-kill” organization dedicated to providing the homeless, abandoned cats and kittens of St. Louis with a better life. We are committed to maintaining an adoption center that provides a safe, healthy and enriching environment, and our goal is a solid and lasting adoption for every cat and kitten in our care.
Animal House opened in 2010 when the City of St. Louis closed its municipal shelter and ended a number of services for stray animals. Not only did the 75 cats residing in their shelter need a place to go, the St. Louis community needed services for abandoned, homeless cats. Animal House was born out of that need. Today we house 100-250 cats and kittens at any given time.
The cats and kittens at Animal House are rescued from the streets of our community and often come from challenging circumstances that include neglect, abandonment, or injury. We have created a safe place where cats in need find shelter, medical and nutritional support, individualized socialization and interaction, enrichment, lots of love, and the opportunity to connect with a loving, lifelong family. We impose no time limit on this process, giving each cat or kitten the time they need. We emphasize matchmaking throughout our adoption process to ensure the best possible match.
