FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED
Meet Flossy! Flossy is a stunning 2-year-old, 56 lb Border Collie/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded CA shelter after being abandoned at a dog park. Now she’s ready to find a forever family who will give her the love and stability she deserves!

Flossy is a truly beautiful dog—her soft black coat and striking gold eyes make her stand out instantly! She’s attentive, smart, and very responsive to her handler, which makes training with her both fun and rewarding. She walks well on leash, loves learning, and enjoys being engaged with her person.

She’s great with people and does well with other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats. For kids, we’d recommend dog-savvy children around 10–12+ simply due to her size and energy level.

Flossy is an active, adventurous girl who would thrive in a home that loves hiking, running, exploring, and keeping her well-socialized. She’d do great with another dog in the home, but she could also be an only dog with adopters committed to giving her plenty of exercise, interaction, and enrichment.

Flossy is sweet, loyal, fun, and incredibly trainable—she’ll make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle!

Flossy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs? Here are the steps to a successful adoption:

1) Review the dog's picture and bio;

2) Fill out an Adoption Application

3) We will screen your application* and call you to tell you more about the dog,

4) A Meet and Greet will be set up. All members of your household (dogs and humans) must attend the meet and greet;

5) If you are approved for adoption, pay the adoption fee, sign the adoption contract and receive the dog's health records;

6) Love and adore your new dog!

Our organization - Forever Home Dog Rescue - values your privacy. Any and all application information is private and will not be shared outside of our organization with ANY other party. After a decision is made on a dog, all applicant and adopter personal information will be disposed of by shredding. We do not retain any application information past adoption in an effort to preserve the security and privacy of applicants. Vaccination, microchip and medical records of adopted and current dogs can be accessed under the dogs name and month of adoption.

More about this rescue

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or a kennel in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs are/or will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.
