History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: “There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home.” Oh hello there, I’m little Miss Dorothy clicking my ruby red heels together and dreaming of my forever home and family.
I came to Cocos about three weeks ago with my brother from Out of the Cold; literally we were living outside, under a home almost frozen when we were rescued. Even though first few months of my life were tough I’m now living the good life of an indoor, loved pet in my foster home and I’m thriving. Everyday I’m learning, getting healthier and growing into an adorable little nugget as my foster mom calls me.
I’m about 19-weeks old already but on the petite size for a lab mix, so I’ll probably stay on the smaller size. What I lack in size I make up for in heart and bravery (good thing for my friends the Lion and Scarecrow). I love playing with my brother and the larger resident dogs here. Snow was scary for me at first but now I’m a pro at the zoomies outside. I’m also doing exceptionally well with potty training and can sleep through the night like a champ.
Can I come home with you? Having my own family and home for the holidays is my only wish and I sure hope you can help me make that come true.
