If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Koda is a very chill, wiggly, fun 2 yr old dog. Best with an adult who is an experienced dog owner. Koda does well with older kids and other dogs.
Here are his challenges: He is very friendly, but only when he knows you. He gets overwhelmed with new people, and may growl at strangers if they approach quickly trying to pet him without letting him warm up first. We have also struggled to find the right combination of food or allergy meds to keep him from scratching his ears all the time, but have not found the right combo yet. It helps to clean his ears regularly.
Here are his strengths: He loves to snuggle, he loves playing with his ball, and he is really silly and so cute. He would be a great dog for someone who has time to give him, and resources to get him groomed regularly because his breed does have allergies. Overall he is an incredibly loving dog, and would do well with another dog or kids if they hit it off. He would do best with another quiet/calm dog or on his own.
