Alright Seattle, why is Four still here? (Tldr, we can answer our own question, it`s because he exists in a quantum state of being simultaneously adopted and un-adopted until observed, and everyone who looks at him immediately forgets what they were doing. Colloquially, we know this as: He`s Weird©.)

What does Weird© mean, you ask?

Well, for our little carpet gremlin --- it means you abide by HIS rules, which are written in a language that hasn`t been invented yet and changes based on the Moon`s mood. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live with a Krampus stuck in the body of a 17lb mini-schnauzer x german shepherd dog? (not our guess, his surrendering family gave us that mix before they were mysteriously transported to the Upside Down) -- Well, sign some legally binding adoption papers (in triplicate, one copy for you, one for Four, and one to be buried at a crossroads at midnight), give him your TRUE name and also possibly your Wi-Fi password, and you will find out. You`ll be finnneeee. Probably. Maybe. Okay, we`re not actually sure what happened to his last eleven families but the restraining orders they filed were very creative. He does NOT want to share his space with other dogs --- probably because he remembers the Before Time.

For obvious reasons, the Seattle Animal Shelter makes no guarantees about the presence of interdimensional portals, strangely specific contracts around the possession of stuffed toys, strict NO TOUCHIE rules or the immense glee you may feel when this tiny Edgelord deigns to snuggle with you, a Mere Mortal©. We don`t make the rules after all, he does, and we`re not about to risk our sovereign souls to test his commitment to them. We suspect he`s still pretty mad about being denied a physical body with opposable thumbs, which means he`s resorted to other available means to get his point across. Luckily, he can be bribed. He`s even cute about it. So much so that he`s managed to acquire the love and affection of many staff and volunteers despite his ... eccentricity.

So yeah, if Weird© is your thing, come on down. If you are the type who wouldn`t dip a toe into a mysterious mushroom circle, keep it moving. Four is not your guy. He`ll bite you.
