Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Clawed – The Senior Snuggle Connoisseur
Clawed is a 17-year-old, orange-and-white affectionate gentleman looking for a forever home with a warm lap and a human who appreciates the art of leisure as much as he does.
This charming senior may have a few miles on him, but he wears every one of them with grace. His back legs are a bit wobbly these days, so he can’t leap like a kitten, but he’s clever and determined: give him a small step stool, and he’ll happily climb his way onto the couch or bed, his two favorite kingdoms.
Clawed’s perfect day is simple and sweet: A long morning nap on your lap. A little ribbon-wrestling session to keep his mind sharp. A treat or two (he won’t say no!). Then, back to your lap for more snoozing, purring, and chin scratches.
He’s a low-energy guy who still enjoys a tiny burst of playtime, but he tuckers out fast and is happiest in full-on cuddle mode. He’s currently living in a calm, quiet apartment with his foster parents, who work hybrid schedule, meaning Clawed gets exactly the kind of slow, cozy companionship he adores.
Clawed hasn’t met other cats or dogs, and he’s not a match for homes with children. He’s a sensitive gentleman who prefers a serene retirement. He’s also a big pee-er (we love him anyway!), so he just needs someone who’s diligent with scooping to keep his box comfy and clean.
More than anything, Clawed is looking for a peaceful home filled with gentle voices, soft furniture, and a human who’s around enough to share daily cuddles. In return, he’ll give you unwavering affection, delightful rumbling purrs, and the kind of quiet companionship only an old soul can offer.
If you’re searching for a sweetheart to share slow mornings, soft evenings, and a whole lot of love, Clawed is ready to curl up and commit.
Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt.
All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
