My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Silvy, the resilient young feline who endured a challenging start to life. For half of her precious year, she found herself and her littermates begging for food in the parking lot of a local Longhorn restaurant. While the fate of the rest of her litter remains unknown, Silvy and her baby companion, Outlaw, were fortunate enough to be rescued. Although Outlaw found a loving home quickly, Silvy needed some time to unpack her past and heal her wounds. Despite her tough beginnings, Silvy has blossomed into a sweet-natured girl, eager to shower her affection on those she trusts. While she may still be a little jumpy when approached by humans, her love for her feline companions shines through. Silvy is a true cat's cat, and having another furry friend by her side would bring her comfort and joy. She thrives on playful interactions with other cats and enjoys the excitement of toys. And let's not forget the simple pleasure of treats! Living on the streets has made every new experience, like savoring delicious treats, even more special for Silvy.
Are you ready to be the loving soul who helps Silvy write the next chapter of her life? Give her the forever home she deserves, filled with patience, understanding, and the company of a furry companion. Adopt, foster, or donate supplies today and join us in providing Silvy with the love and care she's been waiting for. Together, we can make a world of difference for this remarkable feline friend! #AdoptSilvy #RescueJourney #DonateForACause

More about this shelter

Who We Are:

HELP Humane: HELP Humane Inc. is a non-profit organization currently run by a small group of animal lovers in Cass County, MO (just south of Kansas City).

All HELP animals are treated by veterinarians receive age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, spayed/neutered and those incoming after Oct 2005, have been micro chipped. Cats have been Feline Leukemia tested and are negative unless otherwise stated.

HELP now has a no-kill shelter. HELP rescues stray cats from the streets. We have been told by many adopters that the reason they liked adopting form us is because we have a happy place and all the cats are the friendliest ones they had ever met. HELP feels that ALL animal’s are worth saving. We have many FeLV+ cats in our care. They will live with us until they end their life’s journey or find a permanent home.

Currently we are in a financial crisis and desperately need more funding to continue our mission. We are also currently in need of foster homes. The more foster homes we have, the more pets we can help. We also need more volunteers and a grant writer. Of course donations of money and/or pet supplies are most helpful.
