My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernie is a cat that really tugs at our heartstrings. As you can see, his eyes have suffered major trauma. We believe he had experienced a severe infection in both eyes that was left untreated before he came to us here at FCAS.

Unfortunately, his vision seems to be rather limited. He smells his way around and has impeccable hearing to make up for his lack of sight.

To be quite honest, Ernie is terrified in a shelter environment. All of the sounds and smells are incredibly overwhelming for a little fella like Ernie. He needs to be out of the shelter and into a home as soon as possible. He is not a cuddly cat, but we feel he has the potential to be a really special companion for a certain someone.

Would you be willing to rescue Ernie from shelter life? He would love nothing more than to find a home for the holidays. If you feel a connection with Ernie, come visit with him. We're located at 513 Shelter Road, Fayetteville, WV 25840.
