Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Scooby. He is a sweet boy with a great disposition. He gets along with all dogs and is very playful. He loves to cuddle and he would climb into your lap if he could. He would do best with room to run and somebody to hang with. He was released by his first family to the Benton County Shelter. His second family didn't have a yard so he spent a lot of his time there in a kennel in the garage. His third family had an enclosed yard with a stacked wall as part of the enclosure. He was able to scale the wall and get out. He has great recall so when he did get out he would come when he was called. The neighbors were not friendly so they thought it best that he come here, I have 2 fenced acres with a 6' chain link fence and have had no problems with him getting out here. He is fun. sweet and loving and would make a great family member.

The interested party fills out an application or emails.
2.
Interview
I text or talk with the applicant. I ask what they are looking for and describe my experience with the dog.
3.
Home Check
If they are interested in meeting the dog I go to their house and try to have all parties that will be involved there.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
If the home check is good I have them sign the contract and write a check. I hold for 30 days for trial adoption.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If it doesn't work out I return their check/money and contract, ask a few questions and take the dog back. If it does everything gets filed.
Additional adoption info
If they are interested in starting a trial adoption I have them fill out a contract and write a check or transfer the fee. They have 30 days (or more) to experience their new family member. If it isn't a good fit I give them their money and contract back and pick up the dog. If it is a good fit I file the contract and cash the check.

More about this rescue
Frolicking Fur Rescue and Sanctuary fosters and then transports rescued pets to their new adoptive homes.
Because all animals come from different experiences, I allow them the time they need to learn to trust, build confidence, and learn how to live in a home environment.
I am a retired firefighter with a fully fenced 2 acre mini farm. Presently, in addition to the pack of sanctuary and rescue dogs, I have a herd of horses (3)/mules (2). a pride of cats (2), and a flock of chickens (14).
My family has always included dogs and cats, but in 2011 I rescued my first equine Taco, a mini mule, and through the years we also welcomed Cookie, Sammy, Smokey, and Whiskey to the farm. Nearing the end of my career in 2018 I started to get involved in dog rescue by being a flight angel from Guadalajara Mexico, fostering, and transporting. In 2023 and 2024 I continued to foster and started to select adopters, transport to "meets", and finish the adoption process for over 125 dogs. This led me to start my own rescue.
