Victoria is one of a group of cats who were born at a local Houston bar (Drift Bar). They grew up around the hustle and bustle of bar-goers and love being around people. When the only home they’d ever known closed down this summer, the resident kitties were left alone to fend for themselves until some good Samaritans stepped in.
Victoria was so friendly that, despite living outdoors her entire life, she immediately walked up to her finder and was picked up with no fuss, carried away to a brand new life of leisure! She’s settled into her indoor life exceptionally well. She may come across as timid at first, but once she gets to know you, Victoria is the epitome of a cute, snuggly, and friendly baby. When there is a loud noise or a new person, Victoria will trot off to a safe space where she can observe from afar until she feels comfortable.
It’s hard to describe just how loving and sweet Victoria is. She is an expert at curling into a tight little ball and purring, waiting for cuddles and pets. She will flop over on her side, roll around, and do big stretches just to get closer. She doesn’t mind being picked up if she’s held securely and close to you. Victoria will be a perfect couch potato for anyone looking for a loving, calm companion. She is a gentle little soul and doesn’t have destructive or mischievous tendencies – her main “toxic trait” is overindulging on treats.
Speaking of food, Victoria is the cat version of a “cheap date”! So far, she will only eat dry kibble and turns her nose up at any fancy wet food she’s offered. She has no interest in the Churu snacks her kitty friends love, but goes crazy for Friskies Party Mix. We try to spoil any cat that’s had a rough life on the streets with the best food available, but Victoria is a beer and hot dog kind of cat… No champagne and caviar for this girl next door!
___
Victoria's proportions are phenomenal. She has tiny legs, a small and doll-like face, and a roly-poly body. Earlier in life she likely had an ear infection which caused a permanent head tilt – it’s not uncomfortable for her and makes her even more adorable. She is peak feline perfection in a little donut body! Her coat is silky smooth, her purr is so sweet, and she just gazes up at you lovingly with her big, green eyes. You can always tell how appreciative she is for her second chance at life.
___
Victoria has lived her life as part of a cat colony and would do great if adopted with any of her foster siblings, or (with patience and proper introductions) an existing resident cat with a laid-back, docile personality. She would also thrive as an only cat in a home where she gets lots of love from her human family. Victoria has not met a dog during her time indoors. We would be happy to test her temperament with dogs prior to adoption for any serious applicants who have patient, cat-friendly, calm pups.
Charlotte is ~2 years old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy, all she needs now is her forever home.
The Drift Bar Kitties: Victoria, Harrison, Charlotte, Chloe, Sebastian (coming soon), and Genevieve (coming soon).
Victoria is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home.
