I have been exposed to ringworm, which is a common fungal skin infection. I will need to be monitored for any lesions or sudden hair loss.

Because of my condition, I can't be met with prior to being adopted.

I have been exposed to another cat who has been infected with the panleukopenia virus. I will need to be kept separated from unvaccinated or immunocompromised felines for two weeks.

I have been diagnosed with dental disease which means I may need dental cleanings or extractions in the future.

I have been diagnosed with giardia which is a contagious intestinal parasite. I will need to be quarantined during my treatment period.

Meet and greets are done on a first-come/first-served basis. There may be a wait time during our busiest times, including the weekends.

We do not offer holds on any animals at this time.

Oregon Humane Society’s Portland and Salem campuses are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days per week. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, please take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist you with the next steps.
