My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sadie 🤍

Sadie is an 8-year-old husky with the gentlest soul and the softest eyes. She was once chosen from the dog pound and loved, but when a new puppy entered her home, Sadie was the one left behind. Through it all, she’s remained exactly who she’s always been—kind, patient, and quietly hopeful that her forever family is still out there.

Sadie is laid back and easygoing, the kind of dog who’s happy just being near her people. She enjoys playing outside, soaking up the fresh air, and then settling in for a good rest. And yes—she “talks” like a true husky, offering sweet little conversations that will make you smile every single day.

She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her the perfect fit for just about any family. Sadie isn’t asking for much—just a home where she can be cherished, included, and never overlooked again.

At 8 years old, she has so much love left to give. All she needs is someone willing to give her the chance she deserves. 🐾🤍More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
