My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunny is a spunky and fun-loving dog! At 10 months old, she's already potty trained, knows many commands, and seems to be very smart! She loves kids, cats, and other dogs. She make a wonderful addition to any home as she really has a loving personality! Lots of energy, but with proper exercise she does very well in the home. She enjoy car rides and sleeping with her favorite humans.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
