With his soft, expressive face, shiny coat, gentle golden eyes and classic white paws, Mittens radiates warmth the moment you meet him. And at 8 years old, this charming gentleman has perfected the art of companionship — he’s a world-class snuggler who believes life is best lived together.
An endearing Velcro kitty, Mittens greets his people at the door, will follow them from room to room and settles in wherever the humans are. He’ll curl up on your chest as you’re falling asleep, providing soft, contented purrs before shifting to the foot of the bed.
Speaking of nighttime rituals, this affectionate boy has a hilarious habit of trying to tuck everyone in — if the household isn’t in bed yet, he’ll politely try to herd everyone together so his family is settled. He also loves watching TV right beside his person, listening to music and deciding to lie on anything except the expensive, comfy bed you bought just for him — boxes, packaging, insulated freezer bags -- Mittens loves them all!
He's chill, with a playful side, and enjoys laser pointers, wand toys and especially a tiny heart-shaped Hello Kitty toy that costs about a dollar but is priceless to him.
Mittens is also flexible. He likes other cats but would also do great as a solo kitty. He could also do well with older or calm children who respect his space. Mostly he just wants to be near his people, and will thrive with humans who can supply abundant attention and affection.
He'd also love for daily brushing of his fluffy fur to be part of your bonding. And did we mention that he's also being harness, leash and sling trained? Because he's such a laid-back guy, he's taking it all in stride, and knows that these activities will keep him close to you.
Mittens is the kind of sweet soul who makes a house feel like home. A resilient kitty whose journey hasn't been easy, his fondest wish is to find the loving forever home he deserves.
