Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cielo is sweet and affectionate. He has been in the home with dogs for most of his life. He does well with them and likes to play. He has never been around other cats, but he is a gentle and sweet boy, so we don't see it being an issue with a slow introduction. Cielo is also great with kids and would do just fine in a home with any age.

More about this shelter

We are a no-kill, non-profit pet placement and adoption center located in Ontario, California.

We were established in 1954 as the Humane Society of Chaffey Community and it served as the local animal control for the surrounding areas. Roughly 40 years later, we adopted a no-kill policy as West End Shelter for Animals.

Sociable homeless cats and dogs are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep them for various reasons and they remain with us indefinitely until we find them a new home. The shelter can provide temporary homes for up to 200+ cats and dogs. In addition to working with pet owners, we rescue a number of cats and dogs from county shelters where they await euthanasia due to pet overpopulation.
